What’s this all about, then?
This blog is going to be something of an experiment. It’ll be a little different to most blogs, in as much as I won’t be writing it. I’m hoping that you, the readers, will be doing the writing. Your questions answered:
Why are you doing it?
I’ve been thinking lately what it would be like to have a blog where everyone could participate and on any (legal) subject. So, here it is. It’ll either fall on it’s face and never be seen again, or be the biggest blog on the planet. Or somewhere in between.
Why would I want to write your blog for you?
For a number of reasons. Here’s a few possibilities:
- You’ve got something to say, but haven’t got your own blog
- You have you’re own blog, but you’ve got something to say that’s not on the subject of your blog
- You want to be part of this experiment
- You want to get involved in something that could be really, really big (or not – we’ll see)
- You just can’t stop writing
- You want to see your name in print
- Why not?
What’s in it for you?
Well, as I say, it’s really just an experiment. If it takes off, who knows. If it doesn’t, hopefully at least it’ll be fun along the way.
Okay, I’m in. What do I do?
Send me your post using the Submit Post form. I’ll pick (depending on how many posts I get and at what frequency) at least 1 per day to post on the site. If I don’t post it that day, I might hold it back for another day unless you specifically ask me not to.
The small print
We’re gonna have to have some rules here to stop it all getting out of hand. Most should be obvious, but here’s a non-inclusive list of what I can think of so far:
- My decision about what gets posted is final. There will be no arguments on this. Well, you can argue if you like, but it’ll be one-sided, as I won’t be responding. Reasons I might not publish an article include, but are not limited to:
- Illegal content
- Abusive content
- Anything likely to offend
- I can re-format before posting. I’ll go through the posts I want to publish and may need to re-format them to fit in with the blog
- The writer of the post gets full credit and their name will be published along with the post
- Comments will be allowed, but will be moderated
- Anything found to be plagiarised will be immediately removed once proof has been provided and the sender of the dodgy material will be added to a Hall of Shame page if needed.
- I won’t choose any posts in preference to any others for any reason. The whole idea is that any subject matter is fine, so long as it adheres to all the rules. If I get 30 suitable posts in one day, I’ll maybe post 4 or 5 and keep the others back for quiet days. That wouldn’t mean, for example, that I thought the 4 or 5 were any better than the other 35 (or 36).
I’ll likely be adding to this list over time. Think of this in the same way as you would a Readers Letters submission for a newspaper. If they’re unlikely to publish it, so am I.
Why are you doing this?
I’m not quite sure yet. Ask me again in 6 months.
Who are you?
See the About Me bit at the top.

This is an interesting idea. I am trying to do something similar on my site (that is, accepting article submissions under pretty much the same rules) but I am still doing most of the writing at this point and am occasionally purchasing articles from Constant Content to save time and keep up a regular posting schedule.
I just have one question about the rules — if I submit an article here, am I allowed to link to another relevant article on my site? At Karlonia, I am allowing authors to have one backlink either in the body text or in an “About the author” section at the bottom, which is similar to the standard practice for submissions at most article directories.
Hi. Sure, one backlink is fine.
